York University commissioned the artwork 'The Nature of Heresy' work for the "Visual Talking Points" project. The project brought a group of York artists to engage and respond to research within humanities departments to create work that responds to current research and research culture within the Humanities Faculty. This artwork arose from The Medieval Church: From Margins to Centre conference held at York University on 26th June 2023. The full title of the work is The Nature of Heresy: Knight Hospitalers, Franciscans, Cathars, Holy Women and Mystics.
