The project ‘Bird Poetry’ explores, experiments and innovates with non-woven fabric creation using fibre and Japanese starch in a technique that combines silks, papers and other fibres. Using appropriation of found and pre existing images as well as collaged responses to the everyday and photography the works conceptualise issues and emotions of memory and loss in the connotations of imagery brought together with textile and fibres.
Wearable and fibre artworks from the ‘Bird poetry’ series of works were selected selected for international exhibitions in Lithuania and California, USA in 2016 and 2017
